Cashflow and Profit Improvement for Business Owners
This programme helps owners and managers understand the operational drivers of cashflow and profit and develop the capability to improve them. It examines how sales volume, pricing, direct costs, overheads, margins, debtor collection, stock, work in progress and payment timing affect business performance.
Participants undertake a structured analysis of their business and develop their own cashflow and profit-improvement action plan. The programme includes scenario testing, pricing and margin analysis, working-capital practices and methods for monitoring improvement.
At completion, participants will be able to:
• distinguish cashflow from accounting profit;
• identify the principal profit and cashflow drivers in their business;
• assess pricing, margins and break-even points;
• model the effect of operational changes; and
• monitor an improvement plan using suitable measures.
Time commitment: One two-hour workshop plus two 60-minute coaching sessions over 12 months.
